At HHAB, we take hygiene and cross-contamination very seriously. Each of our products is made separately, and all equipment is thoroughly washed between batches to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. We use dedicated measuring utensils for our biscuit products, with an additional separate utensil specifically for our biscuit that contains nuts. All surfaces are meticulously cleaned down between bakes to ensure the utmost care and quality in every product we create.
We also prioritise personal hygiene at every stage of baking. We always wash our hands before starting any baking and will wash them again if we touch anything not related to the baking process. Additionally, we wear aprons while baking and ensure our hair is tied back to maintain a clean and professional environment.
To keep our kitchen a dedicated baking space, we have a stair gate across the kitchen door to ensure our dogs do not enter while we are baking. This helps us maintain the highest level of cleanliness and food safety for all our products.
Furthermore, we keep accurate batch records for every product we make. This ensures we have traceable information available should a situation ever arise, allowing us to maintain full transparency and quality control.
All of our homemade products currently on sale have beenanalytical tested, and the results are printed on our packaging, ensuring full transparency about ingredients and nutritional content.
We are also fully insured to sell our products and are registered with Trading Standards (GB867-0455) and APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) due to the green-lipped mussel powder used in one of our products, further ensuring we meet all necessary regulations for pet treats.
